ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Feyenoord Academy is the leading youth academy in the Netherlands and focuses on providing tailor-made top sports training. The Feyenoord Academy is located in Varkenoord. The brand new, multifunctional and modern training complex opened in the summer of 2019. Here, all Feyenoord youth teams work hard every day in a top sports climate towards the goal of improving every day.
Feyenoord Academy is looking for a talented Data & Innovation Analyst (full-time) as part of the Feyenoord Data & Innovation team that falls under Medical & Performance, in which you support the trainers and the Academy Technical Group in the development of the training plan and the increasing data maturity within the organization.


The function:

In this role you are responsible for managing and developing data projects, dashboards and innovation initiatives. You support trainers and the Academy Technical Group in developing the training plan and increasing data maturity within the organization.


In addition:
Develop your dashboards and innovation projects under the leadership of the Data & Innovation Team Leader;
Act as a sounding board for trainers and the Academy Technical Group through data feedback and data visualization;
Develop your dashboards per player and team with input from the Data & Innovation team;
You initiate various data and innovation projects within the Academy that contribute to the development of the program;
Develop your football technical data that influences, measures and benchmarks development in collaboration with the Data & Innovation team;
Give your solicited and unsolicited advice to the head of the Academy, trainers and the Academy Technical Group based on insights from data.


Your profile:

Academic working and thinking level with 2-5 years of relevant work experience;
Work experience within a sports organization is an advantage;
Knowledge and skills in programming in R and developing Power BI;
Knowledge and skill in applying various software and programming programs;
Independence in developing, setting up and carrying out research projects;
A trainer's diploma is an advantage;
You are decisive, communicative and innovative.
