POSITION SUMMARY:The Head Scout will be responsible for Houston Dash player identification and recruitment, evaluation, ranking and projection of potential player acquisitions based upon the processing of reports and data. The Head Scout will be responsible for quality assurance for the scouting data and reports, coordinating with the General Manager and Head Coach to ensure maximization of opportunity and team resources and oversee process development, logistics, targeting, and scheduling. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee domestic and international scouting and recruitment with deep knowledge of NWSL, USL, NCAA, and international women’s soccer landscape. Develop target markets along with the GM and Head Coach including youth, collegiate, professional targets that fit playing style profile of club.Ensure accurate and consistent presentation of all scout reports, as well as facilitate the process and procedure for information flow to the technical staff.Collaborate with coaches on recruitment targets as well as player agents and families as appropriate to ensure rules and procedures are followed and player experience is maximizedOrganize scouting meetings with Head Coach and GM to ensure all targets and important scouting matters are discussed with coaching staffLead all scouting related responsibilities to provide the technical staff more time with the team OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a leader and resource for coaches and technical staff on matters pertaining to scouting, recruitment, and potential players of interest based on Dash playing style and objectives Develop scouting templates and procedures Work with the Video Analyst for recruitment and advanced scouting purposesWork with the GM and Head Coach to write and maintain the scouting performance planProvide quality options that fit the needs and budget of the Club, including succession planning. Represent the Dash in a professional manner on all club related travel and scouting tripsSupport relationship with NCAA, NAIA and Youth Soccer AssociationsAssist youth development with player identification and tracking methodologyOversee all NCAA scouting and manage college scouting networkAlongside GM, help lead NWSL Draft planning process including development of targets that align with strategy and objectives.  QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Five years’ experience in talent ID, recruitment or equivalent in a club, collegiate, professional and/or State/Regional/National institutionDemonstrated administrative and organizational abilities to manage multiple programs and priorities, including event and long-range planningDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writingKnowledge of NWSL as well as domestic and international women’s Soccer landscape  SKILLS, ABILITIES & OTHER ATTRIBUTES: Excellent team member, who always puts the Club firstDedicated to the pursuit of excellence with high standards of accountabilityRespect in all communication with a focus on empathy, and inclusivenessAbility to work in a high stress and competitive environment with confidenceAvailable to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by team and event schedulesAbility to travel as needed, including international travelFluency in Spanish is a strong plus, but not a requirement   *We are an equal opportunity employer.
