About this role:

To lead the delivery, management and support student of the Sporting Excellence Professional qualification & BTEC Sport qualification programme for the Under 18’s.

Responsibilities:

Supervise individuals and groups of Scholars on the Level 3 Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship (the “Apprenticeship”);
Co-ordinate the planning, delivery and tracking for the Apprenticeship;
Keep appropriate records and documentation as required by the Premier League;
Formatively assess Scholars against the Apprenticeship Specification, preparing them for End-Point Assessment;
Give written and verbal feedback and review with the Scholars their progress against the Apprenticeship Specification;
Support the Scholars in preparing their portfolio and related evidence for End-Point Assessment;
Regularly update the Scholar Individual Learning Plan as required by the Premier League;
Comply with the quality assurance requirements in the management and delivery of the Apprenticeship programme.
Ensure that all staff at the Club involved in the education assessment processes attend all PL training sessions, or other training requested by the PL, remain up to date with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and are suitably trained and comply with those assessment processes;
Develop and agree an action plan with the Education Support Manager and act within agreed timescales;
Complete all 12 week or monthly reviews within the dates set by the Premier League
Leading the delivery of the BTEC Sport qualification for the Under 18’s
Delivering BTEC sport to the Under 18’s
Tracking and monitoring of player progression on the BTEC sport programme
Liaising with education provider on delivery of BTEC Sport qualification
Attending relevant Premier League training for BTEC qualifications
Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.


Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (essential)
Experience working in an elite sporting environment (essential)
Appropriate teaching qualification e.g. Qualified Teaching Status (QTS).
Experience of teaching the Sporting Excellence Professional qualification.
Experience of recording and monitoring progress using Premier League Learning Management System (LMS) or equivalent.
Experience of working within elite sports performance and talent development environments.
Experience of complying with quality assurance and regulatory requirements.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
To hold, or to be working towards an internal quality assurance qualification.
A1 Assessors qualification (desired)
A proven track record of delivering outstanding results for 16-19 year olds
An expert in delivery of the BTEC Leve 3 National Diploma in Sport Level 3
Experienced in tracking and monitoring BTEC Sport provision
Experience of BTEC Compliance and submission guidelines
Able to build strong relationships with students and professionals alike
Energetic, enthusiastic and committed
