This role will manage the operational support involving maintaining databases, composing correspondence, executing organizational tasks, and planning events. The Senior Coordinator will report to the Director of Player Engagement and assist others as directed.
Provides administrative and operational support to the Player Engagement department.
Develops promotional materials for program events.
Coordinates the programming needs of the department.
Organizes the planning, development, and logistics of seminars, symposiums, and trainings for various constituent groups.
Interfaces with other departments and affiliates on designated projects.
Researches and analyzes information to identify and implement best practices and strategic integration of programming needs.
Solicits and establishes a list of local and national resources to support the player engagement department.
Serves as liaison with internal and external constituents.
Maintains a database of projects (i.e. calendars, seminars, participants, consultants, customer relations, and programs).
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and Experience
1-3 years of experience in an administrative support role; experience working in sports a plus
Ability to remain strictly confidential with the business of establishing trusting relationships with front office personnel, players, coaches, administrators, and other professional and collegiate sports affiliates
Superior organization, project management skills and attention to detail
High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity and compliance
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team environment
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally
Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic in approaching tasks and endeavors
Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Knowledge of the sport of soccer
