A new opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, innovative and career-focused professional to join our Marketing & Communications team in the position of Content Manager, who will be responsible for overseeing and delivering the Club’s overarching communications strategy through all digital channels. In doing so, the Content Manager will lead on creating and executing engaging content across several formats including written, audio and video. This post will also contribute to matchday programme and associated literature.

Salary: Depending on experience
Contract: Full time, permanent – 37.5 hours per week, with the requirement to work match days both home & away, which typically fall on weekends and evenings

Your key responsibilities
Overseeing a Social Media Executive and making use of an inhouse video and graphic design team who are focused on broadcasting Club messaging and organically growing the Hull City profile in numerous regions. Importantly, the role will have a strong focus on ensuring that planning processes are in place and followed to ensure that all media opportunities are fully maximised. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Enhance existing and develop new editorial and video to broaden the offering for fans on both a new VOD platform and social media.
Be at the fore of planning content and relevant activations in line with associated strategies.
Produce industry-leading content ideas for the Club’s communication channels to improve output and to explore new and innovative ways in which to engage supporters.
Ensure content on wearehullcity.co.uk and other relevant channels is always maintained and accurate.
Manage the delivery of all football-related editorial and video content on the Club channels, throughout the main playing season and at all other times.
Oversee new editorial and video content produced by inhouse Club media to cover the activities of the Hull City Academy and Tigers Trust.
Be the expert in the use of social media and other alternative content distribution platforms, to ensure growth on those platforms and maximum conversion of users through to the main club website, as per Club strategy.
Assist the Head of Marketing on delivery of all content and media output against objectives and support strategies to consistently improve.
Designate and manage matchday duties between content and video colleagues, ensuring all channels are populated with written content, video and photography.
Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels.
Provide editorial, creative and technical support to team members.
What are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate is a creative marketing professional.
A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline e.g. English, Journalism, Marketing etc.
Experience developing and executing high-impact content, including written, videos and photos, across digital media channels.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to schedule and prioritise multiple work streams effectively.
Knowledge of the industry and a wider understanding of Hull City FC.
A proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Collaborative and open-minded team player with the confidence to deal with senior internal and external figures.
Able to work unsupervised, using initiative to take on responsibility and proactively problem-solve.
Strong creative eye, including an eye for imagery and an appreciation of brand and creative.
Confidence and ability to present in front of camera, both live and pre-recorded.
