Role description

Objectives of the Position:

The Competitions Administrator is responsible for assisting with the smooth running of the Competitions Department including coordination Departmental meetings and providing support to the Data, Registration and Competitions Manager.

The Role:

The Competitions Administrator:

Provide a high level of administrative support to the FAI Competitions Department.
Database management of Players Registration.
Update and maintain all financial records across the Competitions Department spectrum.
Manage the day to day requests and enquiries via phone and e-mail.

The Competitions Administrator will be responsible for the following:

Administration of the FAI Competitions Department
Point of contact for the Competitions Department
Plan, distribute agenda and complete minutes for all meetings as required
Ensure timely contribution to the weekly Administrator report
Assisting in the organisation of all tournament arrangements
Ensuring that the core principles of confidentiality are upheld at all times
Competencies/Qualifications & Experience
The Competitions Administrator should:

At least 2 year’s previous experience working in an Administrative or Competition Management role.
Experience working within a complex environment and managing a high volume of workload
Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills is essential
Strong attention to detail skills
Project management experience desirable
An understanding of domestic Irish football and the issues that pertain to it would be an advantage
Reporting Relationships:

The Competitions Administrator will report directly to the Data, Registration and Competitions Manager.
They will also work in close cooperation with other FAI Departments, in particular, the FAI’s Finance, Grassroots, Stadium and Security Departments.
Compliance Training:

Comprehensive knowledge of the Competitions Department and the FAI
Any other specific training as required.
Skills and Attributes:

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
A keen interest in and good knowledge of Football.
Ability to meet all deadlines in a fast moving environment.
Ability to manage data, analyse, compile, generate and distribute reports.
Intermediate / Advanced level of computer literacy with a thorough knowledge of MS Word, Power Point and Excel, Outlook, Dropbox and be able to learn new systems quickly.
Excellent Communication skills to be demonstrated through contact with key internal and external stakeholders.
Flexibility according to seasonal demands in terms of working week.
Attention to detail and an ability to work on own initiative in an efficient and organised manner.
Be a Team player with the ability to work well in a team environment.
Be comfortable working in various different environments
