Role description
Purpose:
Established in 1986, City in the Community Foundation is the registered charity of Manchester City FC and uses the brand of the parent Club to deliver award-winning programmes centred around Health, Education and Inclusion. The projects engage and impact over 20,000 lives in Manchester annually.
The purpose of this role is to ensure business continuity and a high-level of service to our partners, delivering CITC sessions across various programmes. The role has been designed to provide essential cover for periods of leave planned and unplanned and also where high levels of activity within a programme may require additional delivery support. The main aim is to ensure relationships are maintained with our key stakeholders and participants can continue to access sessions. Programme delivery will include but is not limited to Early Years, Primary Stars, Inspires, BTEC and Outreach.
Accountabilities with Key Outcomes:
Delivering CITC’s range of programmes according to the specific aims and objectives of each programme curriculum and individual session plan to ensure CITC can fulfil service level agreements with our partners.
Working in partnership with specific programme Officers to support the planning and delivery of high-quality programmes to ensure they provide fun, structured, enjoyable and safe environments for all to develop within.
Being accountable for progress and reporting on set KPIs and outcomes associated with the sessions being delivered to ensure programmes can achieve their specific annual targets.
Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all key partners and participants to ensure long-term partnerships are sustained and stakeholders receive a consistent level of service.
Ensuring that CITC’s Safeguarding policy and procedures are embedded to the highest standard across the team. Work toensure that safeguarding practices and principles are adhered to, ensuring our legal and moral obligations towards the framework
Ensuring that all CITC and CFG policies and procedures are adhered to across the team, in order to maintain a high-quality provision.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Essential
- Minimum National Governing Body (NGB) Level 2 Coaching Certificate (excluding dodgeball)
- Experience of working with children and young people or various groups within the community.
- Experience of planning and delivering high quality coaching/education sessions which are challenging and inclusive to the needs of the group.
- Ability to simultaneously coordinate delivery and admin related to a variety of different projects
- Flexible, resilient and adaptable to change
- Ability to quickly build rapport with participants and partners
- Competent across Microsoft office
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Creative and passionate about continuous improvement
- Excellent and inclusive team-working abilities
- Full driving licence
Desirable
- Coaching qualifications in other relevant sports, specifically Level 2 multi-skills
- L3 Certificate in Supporting PE and School Sport
- Educated to degree level in a relevant field (Education, Sports, Coaching)
- Experience of delivering in educational settings and working towards the national curriculum.
- Understanding of City in the Community Foundation and its projects
- Experience and knowledge of working within a brand environment and understanding the responsibilities that are associated with representing a Premier League Football Club
- Experience of delivery in a classroom environment
- Experience of building relationships with external organisations and maintaining internal partnerships.
- Excellent communication and motivation skills
- Experience of strong behaviour management.
