Company BackgroundThe Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park. Purpose of the Job This role is responsible for day-to-day coordination of all youth soccer programs and initiatives along with various community relations programs for HDFC. The Youth and Community Program Coordinator must have a strong knowledge and understanding of the local youth soccer landscape and Houston community. This role will support the development and coordination of campaigns to connect with the Houston community, drive awareness and revenue for the organization and develop fan loyalty for HDFC. Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinates logistical and operational department needs related to youth programs and initiatives or as directed by the department supervisor. This includes communicating with youth program customers, vendors, internal departments and partners. Assists in coordinating registration processes and procedures as required by the department (i.e., customer inquiries, registration questions, inbound/outbound requests, etc.) in a timely and professional manner. Assists in the coordination and distribution of event materials and collateral and other departmental needs (i.e., equipment, uniforms, flyers/brochures, calendars, etc.). Assists as needed in coordinating marketing plans as well as with marketing and promoting various programs and initiatives. Assists in coordinating required communication and execution plans to customers and/or prospects that will allow for professional, first-class customer experience. Keeps accurate records of participants which includes contact information, medical forms, program tracking, and program feedback. Aids in the development, planning and execution of camps and clinics. Assists in developing, coordinating, and executing business plan objectives (programs, events and initiatives) that align with departmental and organizational goals. Helps to identify new and innovative programs and opportunities in youth and adult sports that encourages year-round engagement and future business opportunities.Other duties as assigned. Qualification RequirementsAccredited coaching license (A, B or E license). – Required. Bachelor's degree – Preferred. Previous MLS and/or US Soccer Development Academy experience – Preferred. Ability and willingness to work an event driven schedule, which includes weekends, evenings, and some holidays. Must have own transportation and valid driver’s license. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office software. Bilingual English/Spanish – Preferred. Experience working with youth in recreational/sports activities – Preferred. Able to perform moderate physical activity including, but not limited to, lifting objects up to 25 pounds and standing/walking for more than four (4) hours per day. Able to work in an environment that involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
