Role description

Position Overview

The ideal candidate’s primary responsibility will be to develop, own and execute an integrated communications strategy across our websites, social media, email, and print media, that will deliver clear concise and consistent information to the HKFC membership and the wider community.

You will have experience in digital transformation project management and dealing with IT service providers with a strong track record of delivery on time and to budget.

Proven expertise in website publishing and digital product development, analytics interpretation, digital engagement and database network development.

Additionally, you will be able to write informative content and give design direction for, but not limited to, press releases, articles, website content, etc. to ensure that our communications are clear and to the point and in line with concept of products and services within the club.

They will also be responsible for creating the Club’s brand by implementing guidelines, controlling use of the brand and its logo and ensure the Club maintain a positive and correct image.

Additional Responsibilities

Responsible for editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of the Club’s marketing material.
Manage crisis communications and be the spokesperson for the Club if needed.
Develop, manage, and monitor the Club’s social media strategy according to the approved guidelines.
Plan, organize and oversee all photography and videography projects for the Club, and ensure the right assets are in place for media, digital and collateral use.
Ensure up-to-date, brand-appropriate website copy for the Club.
Responsible for the achievement of all communication department’s mission, goals, and financial objectives.
Develop short- and long-term plans and budgets for the digital communications and online products used by Club Members.


Higher education certificate holder, preferred in Digital Marketing, Communications or Journalism.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Digital Communications / Marketing Communications, either in-house or agency.
Proven experience in website and app project management.
Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital/social media
Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
A good eye for detail and design and an innovative thinker.
Excellent organizational and people skills.
Good leadership and able to work as a team player to support all communications activities.
Very strong communications skills, good multi-tasking skills, able to work under pressure and to short deadlines.
Mature, committed, self-motivated and multi-tasked.
Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, proficient in Putonghua would be a definite advantage.
