ROLE DESCRIPTION

Key Objectives
To plan and execute marketing and communications activity in line with the annual plans to grow and maximise the Club profile, online presence, match day attendance and commercial value.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

●      Marketing Strategy – in conjunction with the marketing & commercial lead, develop and execute the club annual marketing plan, preparing applications for central FA marketing funding and delivering relevant initiatives to enable your club to carry out innovative and successful marketing campaigns such as fan-based membership programmes, events and initiatives
●      Communications Strategy – in conjunction with the marketing & commercial lead and communications agency, develop and execute the club annual communications plan
●      Mar/Comms Activity - Manage and coordinate key activity and announcements such as player signings, player appearances, partnerships and sponsorships for 1st team and Academy.
●      Digital Channels – to plan and deliver creative content across the club’s digital and social media channels to provide regular updates, increase followership and maximise engagement, including but not limited to website, e:letters, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Tiktok
●      Match Day Media Ops - manage match day media operations and activity including accreditations, liaising with journalists and arranging player and coach interviews.
●      Manage the match day photographers including any specific club photography requirements
●      Match Day Experience - create and implement exciting and engaging match-day experiences for fans. This could include pre-match and half-time entertainment, competitions for fans, unique experiences and fan research. Make announcements via the stadium tannoy system from pre-match to post match.
●      May Day Programme – creation of the match day programme
●      Community - Work collaboratively with the relevant football associations to engage with local clubs and drive attendance for London City home games.
●      FA Marketing & Communications Initiatives - implementing FA national marketing and communications campaigns at a local level to increase awareness and attendance at home games
●      Work with The FA national marketing team to deliver joint objectives and attend regular marketing meetings
●      Responsible for managing all aspects of the 1st team and Academy websites.

Person Specification

●      Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
●      Excellent written and oral communication skills
●      Planning and organizational skills
●      Creativity and commercial acumen
●      Excellent knowledge of IT and all applications relating to digital and social communication
●      Knowledge of WIX would be advantageous
