About Us:
Charlton Athletic Football Club is a professional association football club based in Charlton, south-east London. The club was founded in 1905 rising to the top-flight of English Football in the 1930s (First Division) and again in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, winning the FA Cup in 1947. They left their traditional home at “The Valley” in the mid-1980s only to make an impassioned return in 1992.
The women's team were originally formed as a non-professional team in 1991 and were highly successful in the early 2000s winning The FA Cup, the League Cup, and the Charity Shield, as well as coming runners-up in the top division in multiple seasons. In February 2021, the club acquired the Charlton Athletic Women's team, turning the team full-time professional, and integrating them to become one club.
Currently, the men's first team competes in League One, the third tier of English football, and the women's team competes in the Women’s Championship, the second highest division of women's football in England. 
The club and their charitable arm the Charlton Athletic Community Trust pride themselves on their work in the local community and are widely regarded as the premier social purpose football club in the country due to their work with disadvantaged groups.
Under new ownership, this is an exciting time to join Charlton Athletic as they launch a raft of creative new ideas and commercial concepts.
Role Description:
The purpose of this role is to maximise the revenue generated from key commercial assets including matchday hospitality, partnerships, sponsorship and club events. The will be achieved by a combination of excellent account management and generating new business.
Key Responsibilities:

Research potential customers
Devise considered contact strategies
Contact new prospects via email, telephone or in person
Suggest sensible solutions to business challenges
Create sales proposals if required
Close business
Manage client relationships
Assist in the delivery of excellent events
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
Provide timely reports as requested by your line manager


Experience of business to business sales
Commercially literate
Strong business knowledge of the London / Kent area
Sociable and enjoys networking
Ability to identify and approach new clients
Experience of working in a fast-paced, target driven environment
Strong written English
Excellent communications skills
Experience with CRM products an advantage

Additional Information:

This role is a full time position, with a requirement to attend all home fixtures to meet and entertain clients, which will include some weekends and evenings.
There are some travel requirements in this role both locally and nationally to meet with prospective partners, therefore a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
