Role description
Sheffield Hallam University is looking for a proactive individual with a passion for Football to co-ordinate the delivery of the Football Association Women's High Performance Centre, as part of its’ Physical Activity & Sport Service ‘Sport Hallam’.
This is a joint initiative between the Football Association and Sheffield Hallam University to operate in partnership with internal and external stakeholders in order to provide opportunities for female coach, player and official development in the Sheffield City region.
The role will focus on the delivery of the programme including the training and development of coaches, officials and performance players requiring the implementation of a Coach Education programme.
You should possess at least the FA UEFA 'B' Licence and have an understanding of the FA Women's Strategy, National Game Strategy, 4 corner model, FA DNA and the appropriate coaching / learning philosophies. Experience of grassroots football and developing young and adult players / coaches will also be crucial. An understanding of students in further and higher education is desirable, alongside a UEFA A coaching license and experience of working with county FA’s.
You will need to be a flexible team player with an ability to foster strong partnerships with a variety of stakeholders including other University departments and external partners such as Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA, the University of Sheffield, schools and partner clubs including Sheffield FC and Doncaster Rovers Belles FC.
