About MVLA Soccer Club:
MVLA Soccer Club, based in the heart of Silicon Valley, is one of California's largest and most successful youth soccer organizations. With a rich history of developing players who have gone on to play professionally, collegiately, and on national teams, MVLA is dedicated to fostering a love for soccer in a competitive and positive environment. Our nationally renowned program is built on the pillars of Passion, Excellence, Integrity, and Community. We are currently seeking motivated and dynamic coaches to join our team and contribute to our legacy of soccer excellence.

Job Description:
As an MVLA Coach, you will play a critical role in developing the next generation of soccer players, instilling in them the club's core values while enhancing their skills, tactical understanding, and love for the game. We have openings for coaches who can work with both older and younger teams, providing age-appropriate training and mentorship. This position will start July 1, 2024.


Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality training sessions aligned with MVLA's curriculum and philosophy.
Foster a competitive, supportive, respectful team environment emphasizing player development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback to support individual and team growth.
Communicate effectively with players, parents, and club staff to ensure a cohesive and positive experience for all involved.
Participate in club events, meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Uphold and promote MVLA's values of Passion, Excellence, Integrity, and Community in all interactions and decisions.
Create a year-round schedule in consultation with the club director to include training sessions, games, and tournaments.


Proven experience as a soccer coach, with a strong understanding of the game, coaching techniques, and training methodologies.
Appropriate coaching certifications (USSF, NSCAA, or equivalent) are preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players of all ages and skill levels.
Commitment to professional growth and development, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel for games and tournaments as needed.
A strong alignment with MVLA's core values and a passion for advancing the club's mission and vision.
USSF Grassroots Certificate in coaching is required with preference for candidates with higher-level licenses.
