Role description

The Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga are among the most popular sports leagues in the world, are firmly anchored in society and inspire millions of fans all over the world. At the interface of sport, society and business, the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH is responsible for the organization and marketing of the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 and ensures optimal framework conditions for German professional football. Among other things, DFL GmbH takes care of game planning and is responsible for the licensing process , which is recognized throughout Europeresponsible for ensuring fair and stable competition. Furthermore, the 36 professional clubs have assigned DFL GmbH the task of marketing the media rights in the best possible way on a global scale and thus contribute to a significant part of the financing of German professional football. The DFL Group includes five specialized subsidiaries in the areas of innovation, TV production, content and media production, as well as the DFL Foundation - you can find more information at dfl.de.

Chief of Staff

Your position in the team

Sparring partner, sounding board and close confidant of the CEO
Initiator and mediator between DFL management and the entire DFL organization
Responsible and proactive organizer of association work and cooperation with the diverse bodies of DFL GmbH (DFB, DFL Executive Committee, DFL Supervisory Board, DFL subsidiaries...)
First point of contact for various social, political and business representatives in the development of joint initiatives and approaches
Intensive contact and network maintenance with the clubs of the Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga
Organizer and moderator of efficient decision-making processes
Structurer of ideas and derivative of targeted recommendations for action
Interdisciplinary control of projects
Anticipation, consolidation and addressee-oriented processing of complex facts and issues
This enriches our team

Several years of relevant professional experience in a strategically oriented role, e.g. in a demanding industrial environment, in a consulting firm, in politics or in associations
Successfully completed studies in law, economics or political science
Experience in moderating complex interests with a large number of stakeholders
Experience in supporting and designing transformation processes
Business fluent German and English
In addition to enthusiasm for sports in general and football in particular, you should have the following skills:

Strong strategic and analytical skills
Great diplomatic flair and enjoys relationship management
Strong communication skills and the ability to form majorities
