Job Title: Bristol City Football Club Chief Executive Officer

Reports to: Bristol City FC Board

Purpose of the role: A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Bristol City Football Club as Chief Executive Officer. This is an exciting and challenging new executive appointment. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operational functions of the football club across the men and women’s teams, as well as overseeing the long-term strategic objectives of Bristol City.

The role is full-time based at the Robins High Performance Centre.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Be dynamic and will have excellent leadership, communication, inter-personal and stakeholder management skills, and will mentor staff to foster growth and encourage development across all departments.

Have excellent attention to detail and a proven delivery capability within a fast-paced environment.

Have excellent negotiation skills and will be responsible for agreeing player and performance staff contracts.

Drive policies to promote company culture and support commercial revenues while working closely with senior leadership at Bristol Sport and Ashton Gate and the Bristol City board of directors.

Manage to the agreed budgets and financial plan and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards and will regularly report to the board of directors on operational performance and growth targets.

Act as a spokesperson to employees, supporters and the media.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a successful track record in a similar role.
