Job Summary

Founded in 1882, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club is an English Premier League club, based in north London, with a global following of millions.
Led by the late great Bill Nicholson, the Club became the first in England to win the league and FA Cup double in 1961, and the first in the UK to win a European trophy two years later. Spurs has since been home to some of the game great entertainers, including Jimmy Greaves, Glenn Hoddle, Paul Gascoigne, David Ginola, Gareth Bale, Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane.
In April ,2019, the Club opened an iconic new stadium that sits at the heart of a £1billion sport-led regeneration of north Tottenham. The stadium is the largest football club stadium in London and is a multi-use venue with the ability to host a variety of events 365 days a year, including NFL, boxing, rugby, concerts and other major events, plus visitor attractions including Stadium Tours and the Dare Skywalk.
To date, the stadium development scheme has created more than 4,000 new jobs for local people, with circa £300m pumped into the local economy each year.

The Club is seeking a Channel Executive to assist the production, management and promotion of content on the Club owned channels – website, app and SPURSPLAY, our new home of live and on-demand video.
Due to the nature of the industry, out of hours working, including weekends, will be required from time to time.
The successful candidate will be required to work selected Men and Women First Team, Under-21 and Under-18s’ matches on a rotational basis, so a flexible individual is sought. In addition, it is desirable that candidates hold a full driving licence and own transport.

Following the launch of SPURSPLAY and our new official app over the close season, the Club is looking for a Channel Executive to assist with the production and management of content across its two new platforms, plus its website and matchday programme.
Under the guidance of the Channel Manager, the Channel Executive will primarily help in the organisation of the SPURSPLAY platform, which operates across its own native site, as well as on and the Spurs Official App. The role will be responsible for ensuring the channel is regularly updated, keeping its content relevant as well as ensuring the Club brand and identity is reflected.
Working closely with the rest of the editorial team, the role will also see the Channel Executive support our editorial output, producing written content for the website, app and matchday programme.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Channel Manager in the management and organisation of SPURSPLAY and app.
Liaise with key stakeholders on the release and publication of content, assisting in the editorial aspect of SPURSPLAY content.
Monitor all owned channels and ensure all content and pages are up to date and consistent.
Liaise with Digital Products team on product development and improvements.
Produce written content for the Club website, app and matchday programme.
Attend and cover Club fixtures on a rotational basis, home away, including Men and Women First Team, Under-21 and Under-18s’ matches.

Skills Experience

Proven experience working within an editorial environment - within a football environment would be an advantage but not essential
Strong copywriting and attention to detail
A good working knowledge of football programming and a passion for its content
A good knowledge of CMS platforms
Ability to meet tight deadlines
Flexible with working hours and happy to work evenings, including home and away matchdays.
Basic editing skills and knowledge of Adobe Suite and Adobe Photoshop would be an advantage but not essential.
A full driving licence is advantageous.
