Role description

An exciting opportunity has become available at Watford Football Club on a casual basis, within our Sensory Room on matchdays.
The Sensory Room has been designed for autistic children to enjoy a football game, in a quiet safe space, with a view to being able to transition into the main stadium once they feel confident to do so. The Sensory Room Host will work on a home matchday, supporting families with children who require a sensory environment.
The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, be enthusiastic and hardworking, and flexible to the requirements of the role and the business.
Applicants should ideally live local to Watford or the surrounding areas and be a UK resident or non-UK resident with a valid UK work permit, and ideally have experience working within a similar position.
Essential:

Be flexible and available for evening and weekend games
Excellent verbal communication
Patience and the ability to remain calm
Understanding of autism spectrum disorder and the needs of the families in attendance
Understanding of the club commitment to EDI Safeguarding

Desirable:

Previous knowledge of working in a sensory environment, or with adults and children with additional needs
Interest in football
