About the job
Main duties

The assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of the U9-16 Academy players under the guidance of the current U9-16 Full-Time Academy Sports Therapist.
Provide medical cover for injury clinics, training sessions and match-days for the U9-16s.
Communicate effectively to the player, Academy Sports Therapists/ Physiotherapists, coaches and parents regarding updates on player’s injuries and return to play dates.
To liaise with the Full- Time Academy Sports Therapist/ Physiotherapists/ Club Doctor/ Psychologist regarding referrals to GP’s, consultants, A&E where applicable.
Maintain up to date notes about player’s injuries in line with professional governing body.
Follow the club’s Emergency Action Plan (EAP) for training and games and ensure it’s communicated to coaching staff regularly.
Work effectively as an MDT with other casual / part time staff such as sports science and strength and conditioning interns to ensure a multidisciplinary approach has been utilised for all players.
Be committed to regularly undertake independent CPD and attend / contribute to in-house CPD.

Qualifications

Essential:
BSc / MSc degree in Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy
Must have a full and in-date membership / registration with; Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or Society of Sports Therapists (SST)
FA Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) Certificate, or equivalent
FA Children’s Safeguarding Course (to be completed if successful if not already held).
