Men's Football General Manager
Cardiff Met Sport & Sport Cardiff are the driving force behind sport, physical activity, health & wellbeing in Wales’ Capital City. We work across the City and in partnership with a range of local, regional and national partners to develop and manage sector leading sport facilities including, the National Indoor Athletics Centre, Tennis Centre, Archers Arena and a number of 21st Century Schools. We also lead the strategic direction and delivery of a wide variety of cutting-edge development programmes across schools, communities, clubs & workforce, and health & wellbeing both on our campuses and throughout Cardiff. To help us achieve our sporting ambitions, we’re looking for a General Manager to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of our Cymru Premier men’s team whilst integrating our wider University football provision. Your work as our General Manager will be key in driving forwards our club governance, administration, finance and operations.
You’ll lead the way:
In the operations of our Cymru Premier team to manage all logistical and operational matters for the training and competition environment including match days.
Ensuring the club complies with all relevant regulations, including those from governing bodies such as the Football Association of Wales.
Supporting the wider football system team to develop strong relationships and connections between all teams including the Women’s, BUCS, and Academy.
What you’ll bring
Your expertise of working in a club, sports organisation or corporate environment, will enable you to influence and lead the operational requirements of the Cymru Premier team. With a strong sense of the administrative requirements, you’ll understand the importance of budget management, audit processes and licencing minimum standards.
Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will be key in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, you’ll:
Hold a relevant degree or NVQ equivalent.
Have good knowledge of health and safety processes & procedures.
