The role holder will play a pivotal role in the Business Intelligence team to support the China Partnerships team drive commercial revenues through the acquisition of new partners and renew existing partners. The Business Intelligence team allows CFM to stay abreast of the latest football and sports industry news and develop a competitive advantage in the sales process through the presentation of relevant category, geography, and company analysis. This role will support CFG’s sales efforts across the globe to assist in the definition and implementation of commercial strategy. The role holder also will play an junior sales role to support partnership sales team in China.
Accountabilities with Key Outcomes:
Provide relevant market intelligence via research and analysis into key categories, geographies and companies to identify key trends and potential partnership opportunities.
Conduct sales support activities with internal stakeholders to create sales materials and proposals with a data-driven approach, meeting with potential clients together with partnership sales team.
Assist with development of asset and package valuations for proposals for potential partners and support the identification of new potential assets via market intelligence and benchmarking.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to prepare/design bespoke surveys and analyse these to understand partnership impact and share insights in an effective manner.
Consolidate research into fan and follower interest across CFG clubs and work with internal stakeholders (e.g. digital and social media teams, customer insights) to ensure all relevant information is available and updated for use within Partnerships.
Support the commercial strategy definition through research and creative thinking; track financial performance of the department and support on the compilation of financial plans for future seasons.
Identifying key trends and movements in the football / sports / entertainment industry.

Fluency in Chinese and English
Educated to degree level
Entry level experience within a similar role/department in the sports industry
Knowledge in sport marketing and football marketing
Strong research skills
Highly analytical and comfortable managing large data sets
Numerical skills and comfortable with financial tracking
Skilled with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of sports sponsorship
Strong written communication skills
Comfortable presenting insights, good presentation skills
Experience designing market research
