The FA is looking for a competent and confident Business & Project Manager to provide business and project management across the Women's Game to ensure successful delivery of the Women's Strategy and operations. This will be for a 6 month period to help support through a particularly busy but exciting time for Women's Football.
This role can be based at either Wembley Stadium or The National Football Centre, St. George's Park, and will work within the FA's hybrid working policy.

What will you be doing?

Business Planning

Lead the annual Business Planning process for the Women's Game in collaboration with the Women's Senior Management Team and relevant Business Partners from across the organisation;
Work closely with the management team to understand and develop the programme of activities and priorities to deliver the needs across all functions and execute the four year women's strategy;
Working in conjunction with the Women's SMT, set agreed measurements and KPI's for delivery of the annual business plan;
Support the Finance Business Partner in building a comprehensive budget across the Women's Game to deliver against programme activities;
Identify areas for improvement and champion connectivity across different areas of the game.

Business Management

Monitor and coordinate the delivery of programme activity across The Women's Game through the season;
Deliver programme progress reporting to the Senior Strategy and Business Manager (Women's Football) on a monthly basis;
Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies across the game;
Track and report on KPIs for accountability and progress against strategy targets;
Support the Finance Business Partner in management of the budget across the season;


Monitor, track and report on progress against the Women's football strategy to stakeholders across the business;
Deliver strategy KPI reporting to the Women's Football Board;
Develop and deliver all women's board papers and reports.

Project Management

Lead the management of key strategic initiatives as they emerge across the Women's Game including:

Planning and structuring implementation plan across the programme of work;
Monitoring and report project progress;
Identifying, communicating and supporting the executive to manage key project risk;
Define the project's governance arrangements;
Ensure effectivequality assuranceand the overall integrity of the project.

Internal Consulting across the Women's Game

Guide the business on best practice in project planning and management;
Support the wider work of the Women's Game where required


Executes additional tasks as required in order to meet FA Group changing priorities.
Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.

PRINCE2 or similar level project or programme management qualification

Our Organisation

The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. It is responsible for promoting and developing every level of the game, from grassroots through to the professional game, and generates significant revenue to support investment into English football each year.

We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.

Your contract with The FA will specify a fixed location of either Wembley Stadium, St. George's Park or our Processing Centre, unless the role is advertised as a homebased contract. The contractual location of this role can be found at the top of this advert on our FA vacancy page.
