Boys Academy Strength + Conditioning Coach
REPORTS TO: Sporting Director, Technical Director + Head of Physical Performance + Lead Academy
S&C Coach
LOCATION: Eleda Stadium, Malmö, Sweden
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Part Time

THE ROLE
Our growing strength and conditioning department is looking for an individual passionate about
working in the field of growth, maturation, and long term athletic development to join our team.
The exciting opportunity will enable the candidate to work as part of one of the leading
performance departments in Sweden and Scandinavia.
The successful candidate will take charge of all strength and conditioning practices across the lower
ages academy program (U16s and U14s), alongside managing and mentoring a voluntary S&C coach.
The successful candidate will be required to adhere to the current frameworks and curriculums in
place, but will also have the freedom to create, develop and further the physical provision.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
BOYS 14-16
- Lead and deliver the daily strength and conditioning/sport science provision for the Malmö
FF boys academy players aged 14 to 16.
- In collaboration with the football coaches; periodise the lower academies training weeks
both on a micro and macro basis.
- Lead the monitoring and analysis of lower academy training load with the assistance of the
voluntary strength and conditioning staff.
- Track and report the growth and maturation of all academy players on a quarterly basis.
- Lead performance testing to measure the fitness of all academy players on a quarterly basis.
- Work superbly as part of a multidisciplinary team to create the best possible learning
environment for our developing footballers.
- Adhere to the player education curriculum which aims to educate players on optimal
nutrition and lifestyle choices. Also, to work with players on an individual level for those who
require additional support.
ACADEMY DEVELOPMENT
- Contribute to the current in-house CPD/learning curriculum where presentations and
practicals are performed monthly for the voluntary S&C coaches within the club.
- Support the U17s and U19s age groups when required.
THE CANDIDATE
BSc Sport Science/Strength and Conditioning.
Strength and Conditioning qualification (NSCA or UKSCA).
Strong theoretical understanding of growth and maturation with proof of practical application.
Strong theoretical understanding of long term athletic development with proof of practical
application.
Excellent communication skills and work ethic.
Proven experience of working well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proven experience of working in an academy physical development program.
A strong knowledge of Google Sheets, Google Data Studio or Power BI.
Fluent in English.
Good team player, as well as ability to be proactive and work on own initiative.
DESIRABLE
MSc Sport Science/Strength and Conditioning.
ISAK Accredited.
‘Certificate in Growth & Maturation for Youth Athletes’ by The Athlete Development Project.
