The incumbent will assist the sports medicine staff in the running of their department and the daily operation of their jobs.
Conduct pre-training and pre-game set up of sports medicine areas and fields. This involves preparation of hydration stations on the field, preparation of cold/hot tubs, athletic treatments and rehabilitation to prepare players for activity for the day.
Assist with the post-training and post-game breakdown of fields and sports medicine equipment.
Provide athletic treatments and rehab of athletes post practice.
Maintain a clean, neat, and organized athletic training room
Assist the LA Galaxy Academy teams with sporting event set up at fields
Game coverage for all levels of LA Galaxy Academy, both home and away.
Must be able to work autonomously under the direct supervision of LA Galaxy Sports Medicine staff and LA Galaxy Academy staff
Assist sports medicine staff with any additional player support needed on daily basis. Such as, but not limited to pharmacy trips, taking athletes to doctor appointments, etc.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends
Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the NATABOC.
Dual certification with Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA is preferred
Previous experience working in soccer is preferred
