About the Role

Under the supervision of the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s Director, Soccer for Success School, the Associate I, Soccer for Success School is responsible for coordinating training and technical assistance efforts of the Foundation’s Soccer for Success School program. We rely on the collaborative strengths of the Associate, who will secure training sites and schedules, manage teacher and student data collection, train teachers, and exhibit at state and national conferences. The position requires attention to detail, initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to function independently with minimal supervision. This is a full-time, temporary position, coordinating the initiative from September 2024-September 2025.


About the Team

The Programs Department is responsible for operating, improving, and scaling the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s child-centered programs, namely our flagship Soccer for Success and Coach-Mentor Training programs, to ensure that the Foundation remains at the forefront of the physical education and sports-based youth development (SBYD) fields. This work involves following the latest physical education and SBYD best practices to innovate and tailor our curricula and training to meet the unique needs of underserved communities across the country. Designing and deploying pathways to scale, this team is responsible for driving the adoption of the Soccer for Success program and coach-mentor training methodology in youth serving marketplaces across the country.


Responsibilities

Manage the logistics, technical support, and data collection of Soccer for Success School trainings
Attend and manage the logistics of conventions and conferences where the program is represented
Deliver trainings to physical educators
Manage the consultant network that conducts Soccer for Success School Trainings
Coordinate technical support of new and existing partners, including the creation and distribution of tools and resources
Establish and maintain relationships with key collaborators in the field, building national, state, and local-level relationships that lead to the adoption of the Soccer for Success School program
Conduct implementation and outcome assessments to analyze progress and impact
Coordinate market research and facilitate program alignment, generating new leads and overseeing the member portfolio
Research and evaluate new training and technology trends to ensure highly effective, engaging learning experiences
Support the development of content and the delivery of Soccer for Success School trainings


About You

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
1+ years of professional experience in physical education training and programming
Understanding of and commitment to the U.S. Soccer Foundation mission
Demonstrated commitment to issues impacting children and families, specifically in underserved communities
Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive and culturally responsive working and learning environment
Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments with multiple partners with diverse perspectives, utilizing a strong attention to detail
Self-starter, exhibiting a strong work ethic, ability to maximize work with minimal supervision
Strong oral, written, research, and interpersonal skills
Willingness to provide and receive feedback in consistent ways
Proficiency in Microsoft, Salesforce, and online platforms
Committed to bettering the lives of children though sports-based youth development.
Committed to working on a diverse team and helping build a culture of inclusion internally and externally.
Ability to travel 30% of schedule, to include nights, weekends, and holidays


Desired Requirements

Experience in planning and executing training and professional development events
Knowledge of and experience in age-appropriate soccer instruction in physical education
Ability to deliver/facilitate/lead training(s) in varied settings
Program management experience
