As one of the most important sports associations in Switzerland, the Swiss Football League (SFL) is responsible for organizing and staging the professional football championships in the two top Swiss divisions, the Credit Suisse Super League and the dieci Challenge League
. The seat is in Bern.
Technological development is progressing rapidly in sport and especially in football. Game-related data and video evaluations are becoming increasingly important and require professional handling. In order to optimally support clubs, partners and external service providers, we are therefore increasing our resources in the area of game data and game analysis as well as in the project organization of the "Video Assistant Referee" (VAR).
The Swiss Football League is looking for an Assistant Sport, Competition & VAR (60 - 80%) as of November 1, 2023 or by appointment
your area of application
You are responsible for the support and further development of the infrastructure and the technologies for the game data and game analyzes of the SFL (e.g. scouting/tracking feed, data collection and data processing in the performance area). You act as the content and administrative contact for the SFL clubs, the Swiss Football Association (SFV) and the partners in the field of game analysis and ensure an optimal interface with everyone involved. You support the Chief Sports & Competition Officer in various areas such as the preparation of tenders or contract negotiations and in project organization for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR). You create presentations and reports and are able to handle individual projects and tasks independently.
what you bring
You have completed training in the commercial or IT field or have a high school diploma with a relevant focus. You have proven knowledge and experience in project management. You are familiar with the national and international football scene. An affinity with IT and/or basic knowledge of handling databases and/or knowledge of game analysis systems is an advantage. As a person you are innovative, analytical, team player and resilient and want to achieve a lot in a small team. In addition to an interest in football and a passion for sports, the willingness to work evenings and weekends is a prerequisite for this function. Your handling of the common MS Office programs is excellent. Native language German or French and good knowledge of spoken and written English round off your profile.
