Job title: Assistant Kit ManagerDepartment: Senior Kit DepartmentBased at: Blackburn Rovers Senior Training Centre, Brockhall Village, Old Langho, Blackburn, BB6 8FA. Flexibility regrading location is required.Reports to: Kit ManagerResponsible for: N/AHours of work: 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours necessary for the performance of duties including regular evening and weekend work. Contractual Status: Permanent

1. Job purpose: To assist the Kit Manager in providing a professional service in the provision of kit and equipment to all First Team and coaching staff at the Senior Training Centre.
2. Duties and responsibilities: To be committed to ensuring the safeguarding and welfare of all staff and players, promoting their well-being whilst maintaining professional boundaries; To assist the Kit Manager with the running of the laundry department; To oversee and audit equipment on a day-to-day basis; To organise and pack the necessary kit and equipment for all matches, daily training and training camp tours; To ensure all kit department equipment and machinery is kept and maintained to the highest standard; To repair and clean boots when necessary; To provide cover when necessary for the Kit Manager and the Laundry Department; Maintain a stock check and ensure all relevant kit is recorded accurately on a regular basis; To maintain confidentiality at all times; To liaise with the Kit Manager on a regular basis to ensure all deadlines for kit use are met; and Any other duties as reasonably assigned by the Kit Manager.
3. Skills required:
Excellent organisational skills; Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines; To possess a great attention to detail; To be able to work as an individual as well as part of a team; and Excellent time keeping skills.
4. Knowledge required: Good knowledge and direction to local and national football and training grounds; Experience of working in a kit/equipment role within professional football; Safeguarding of young children; and Good knowledge up to date health and safety legislation.
5. Qualifications required: Valid UK Driving Licence; and Previous experience of working within a professional sporting environment.
