We lead with purpose and passion, building a new type of company and a new type of club. We do this together - we are stronger together, have more impact together, and have more fun together! The Assistant General Manager will drive the club’s high-performance culture by establishing and maintaining systems and processes that create a trusting, impactful work environment. The person will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate with everyone in the Football Operations group. They will manage the team’s Salary Cap, ensure compliance with NWSL rules and regulations, and support strategic initiatives.Essential Duties Responsibilities:Manage the NWSL Salary Cap and ensure the team follows league roster rulesAssist in the development of and management of the soccer operations budget and support department heads with individual department budgetsCreate and finalize employee handbooks with policies procedures in conjunction with HREstablish sporting staff onboarding practices and proceduresSupport the sporting department’s annual review processesAssist the General Manager in administrative duties with trade, loans, and player movement, including TMS entries, trade documentation, and acting as a liaison between the club and leagueSupport the General Manager with the creation of presentations and reports used to present to ownership or other groups as neededBuild and monitor a system or process for integrated staff priorities and actions (for ex., OKRs)Build and monitor internal operational procedures, including decision-making, information flow, and staff management principlesEstablish professional development opportunities to support staffOversee Field Maintenance, including the facility and staffBe a touchpoint with staff members to help navigate challenges before they get to GMConnect with and negotiate with agents and teams around player availability and player transfersSupport discussions involving capex, including facilities, international investment, league rulesMinimum Qualifications:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and leadership skillsCollaborative management style – advocate of team conceptsPositive influencer, comfortable with leading dynamic changeAvailable to work within a high-performance soccer organizationDesired Qualifications:Experience, familiarity, and network within local and international soccer, particularly with the structure and rules of NWSLPursues lifelong development and learningCommunicates in a direct, open, and honest mannerAccountable for actions/decisions and does not make excusesSeeks feedback and practices self-assessment and self-reflectionWilling to collaborate with other departments in the aim of benefitting the teamCompensationSalary range of $150,000-170,000; actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, such as experience and skill level.Company-sponsored benefits.
