Position:The Academy Assistant Coach is part of the Youth Development Program (YDP) for Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America. Job Description:The Academy Assistant Coach is a full-time role responsible for supporting YDP coaches for various MNUFC youth programs. This position is primarily located in Blaine, MN. Responsibilities:Assist YDP head coaches in Academy teams training and matches, both home and awayAssist YDP head coaches in training part-time teams, club camps and clinics, and Pre-Academy programsWatch, analyze, and prepare opposition match summaries and scouting reportsAssist YDP administrative staff in game-day operations Coach in Pre-Academy training sessions as neededBuild relationships with local clubs and coaches to learn more about potential playersAttend local and regional matches to identify top talentWork with MNUFC Equipment Manager to Organize Academy Equipment as neededOther duties as assigned Experience:Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, and prioritize tasks that are time sensitiveThrives in a fast-paced environmentExceptional communication skillsExperience in soccer coaching requiredExperience in scouting strongly preferred Requirements:Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs. and stay active throughout training sessionsReliable transportation requiredAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays and weekdaysApplicant must be able to comply with MLS Next Pro Safety and Well-Being policies and guidelinesMNUFC requires a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment, subject to exception under applicable lawBilingual skills preferred Company Profile:MNUFC is a professional soccer club playing in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier of soccer in North America, and which operates under the oversight of the U.S. Soccer Federation, a member of FIFA.
