ROLE DESCRIPTION

The positions purpose is to facilitate and lead the coaching programme for all Academy players and staff across the u14 age group in line with the Academy Performance Plan. To prepare for and support the transition of u14 players into u15 football at FFC or an appropriate exit destination. Contribute to the delivery of the Academy Performance Plan, with specific focus given to the on-going evolution of the Academy Technical Plan
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
COACHING
• Establish and continually refine the Season Plan for the u14 age group, shaping the player
development programme in line with individual player and group needs.
• Lead coaching sessions across the u14 age group, which align and integrate Season Plan
commitments & players Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) to wider Academy and Club approaches and
Values.
• In collaboration with Operations, manage the u14 Games Programme in line with the Season Plan
to ensure teams and players compete and develop appropriately through these experiences.
• Lead u14 weekly Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) conversations to shape and guide player
development while ensuring the highest quality operations and organisation of resource.
• Support the u14 MDT (including u14 Assistant & Support Coaches) to integrate player development
strategies across disciplines.
• Plan, upload/record and reflect systematically on all coaching activity within the u14 age group.
• Within appropriate time frames, attend u13 and u15 weekly MDT meetings to integrate and
connect the u14 group to both the u13 and u15 programmes in support of a clear FFC approach and
identity in this part of the pathway.
• Support the delivery of the wider Academy training and games programme to share ideas and
approaches, and cover coaching colleagues, as required.

PLAYER & PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT
• Develop and sustain frequent, consistent and supportive communication with all u14 players, and
where appropriate their families and other stakeholders, to support transitions (through the YDP).
• Oversee the implementation of the Academy Code of Expectations for all u14 players and staff.
• Oversee the implementation of all Club policies that relate to the u14 programme.
• Lead u14 player reviews, iteratively contributing to an on-going, continuous process of support for
each individual player.
• Manage the completion of ILPs for all u14 players in collaboration with other disciplines and
stakeholders.
• Manage consistent on-going reflection processes (of players and staff) in a way that contributes to
on-going learning and development.
• Work with the Talent Identification and Recruitment team to provide suitable feedback to any
players that trial with the u14.
• Be an available point of contact for YDP colleagues, ensuring there is appropriate and regular
connections on u14 players and the u14 programme.
• Play a key role in the Succession Planning processes within the Academy to support the Club to
retain individuals who have high potential.
• Attendance at u13 and u15 games as required.
INSIGHTS (In collaboration with the Insights department).
• Review match and training footage in a timely fashion to share with staff and players to support
learning and development.
• Align video to team and individual commitments, supporting team and individual player
development over time.
• Manage and steer reporting systems to ensure accurate information is captured in relation to
player performance.
• Ensure all players are provided with access to their personal performance data highlighting key
metrics in line with the Team (Season Plan) and individual (ILPs) development commitments.
• Support the development and integration of Insights staff within the u14 MDT.
• Reflect on and develop personal coaching behaviours, reviewing coaching footage on a consistent
basis to inform personal development goals.
It is a requirement of the role that you hold and continue to hold throughout the entirety of your employment, such up-to-date credentials, permissions, documents, licenses, certificates and/or other similar documents, as are necessary for you to live and work in the United Kingdom and perform your role in accordance with the applicable rules, regulations, orders and guidance of FIFA, UEFA, the Football Association, the Premier League, the Football League, the Youth Development Rules, the Elite Player Performance Plan requirements (the “Governing Bodies”). For the avoidance of doubt, it is your responsibility to ensure that you hold such permissions, documents, licences or certificates, which may (depending on the precise scope of your role from time to time) include coaching badges, academic or professional qualifications, first aid certificates, health and safety certificates, safeguarding certificates and/or CPD records. Further, it is also your responsibility to ensure that you attend such training (whether internal or external) as may be required from time to time under the applicable rules, regulations, orders and guidance of the Governing Bodies, or as the Club otherwise deems appropriate.
SAFEGUARDING
Fulham Football Club acknowledges that everyone has a responsibility for the wellbeing and safety of children,

• To complete the Fulham safer Working Practice Workshop as part of induction and the FA Safeguarding
Children workshop; and
• To monitor repeated incidents of poor behaviour and liaise with their DSO or Head of Safeguarding
