Academy Technical Instructor; and/or
Grassroots Technical Instructor
CLUB & ACADEMY BACKGROUND

Union FC™ is forged from the unification of Bradford (Eagles) Soccer Club and DFC Academy (Dragons).
Both Clubs have been at the heart of our community, providing soccer programs dating back to 1993.
With our shared values, vision and passion for soccer, we strive to be the marquee organization within
our community offering opportunities for all to access the sport of soccer in an All-Inclusive
environment.

The Bradford Soccer Club is a non-profit community-based soccer club facilitating programs for youth of
all ages and ability. We offer programs for both boys and girls from the start of grassroots at age 3 all
the way to senior play at age 18. Grassroots and Recreational programs are aimed at providing the kids a
fun environment to learn the basic of the game, having fun and getting exercise. Our goal is to
introduce players to soccer and develop a lifelong passion for the sport.

DFC Academy is an Ontario Recognized Academy who are part of the York Region District Soccer
Association for all players interested in progressive advancement and competitive play. It’s unique
methodology of training along with a cohesive Game Model provides the structure needed for further
in-depth development. Players who devote their time and focus on their learning in high performance
soccer are provided with opportunities to compete in college showcases and competitive tournaments
across North America.

JOB DETAILS

Location: York Region & Huronia, ON
Wage: Will be based upon qualifications and experience. We are committed to coach development
and will reimburse one coach education course per year.

Terms of employment: Part time
Employment conditions: Day, Evening, Weekend
Reports to: Technical Director
Start date: As soon as possible

JOB REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum NCCP Community Coach Workshop
1-5 years coaching experience at District, Regional or Provincial level
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience in developing and working with an approved annual plan for training
Strong Management and Leadership skills with a focus on mentoring Assistant Staff Coaches or Intern
Coaches

Security and Safety Criminal record check, First Aid/CPR/AED certified

Personal Suitability Values and ethics, Effective interpersonal skills, Team player, Dependability,

Flexibility, Initiative, Judgement, Organized, Reliability, Accurate, Interpersonal awareness.

Specific Skills

Provide high-quality training for IFC Soccer School and Academy programs
Utilize coaching resources and software to help plan and manage training sessions and match play
Assist and facilitate coaching education and player testing/assessments
Provide additional training services offered by the club such as camps, grassroots, and additional
programming

Provide player progress reports semi-annually, and be available to parents, administrators and other
professional duties

Develop, plan and co-ordinate competitive schedules and programs
Identify, observe and evaluate prospective athletes’ skills and performances, and review their past
records

Analyze and evaluate athletes' or team's performance and modify training programs
• Participate in coaching clinic instruction and present material, content knowledge to peers • Present

materials at conference or symposium

Additional skills:

Carry out management or administrative duties. Essential skills Communication, organizational and

continuous learning Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.) Minimum NCCP

Community Coaching Workshops.
