ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Club

Samsunspor was established in 1965, is owned and run by Mr. Robert Yıldırım, currently playing in the Turkish Super League. Samsunspor and Mr. Yıldırım, have made significant investment in its brand-new spectacular Academy facilities with a view to create world class Academy operations in order to see Samsunspor Academy graduates progress to the 1st team on a consistent and yearly basis. The Academy is currently made off 12 youth teams from U7 to U19 with a total of 21 coaching and supporting staff.


Position and Responsibilities

Academy Technical Director;

Define and lead the football project, playing style and training methodology of Samsunspor for the entire Academy training program (with the support of Toulouse FC Senior Academy Staff and football operations executives).
Manage the Academy technical staff and performance staff.
Work closely with the 1st team technical staff in order to identify and promote elite potential players to the 1st team.
Put in place a yearly development program for each youth coach and Academy performance staff.
The individual will have the final say on players’ recruitment, making sure the players being targeted and recruited are suitable with the Academy playing style and overall philosophy.
The Academy director will liaise with all the Academy stakeholders (Medical staff, education and life skills department, scouting) and its leadership (Academy General Manager).


Reporting

Club President, CEO and in close communication with the Football Director


Essential Requirements

UEFA Elite Youth or UEFA Pro Licence
Being fluent in English is a must (other language would be a plus)


Profile and Experience(s)

Expertise in high-level football such as tactical periodization and positional play and proven track record at implementing both aspects.
Expertise in youth high-level football with a proven track record of a minimum of 5 years in youth development, FIFA category 1 or category 2 academies.
Knowledge of players performance evaluation tools.
The candidate will need to have a willingness for self-development and constant learning, notably by visiting clubs and youth developments set ups globally.
Very good communication (verbal and written) and management skills.
