Academy Sports Therapist – Women’s Football

About the opportunity: We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist to join our Women’s Academy / First Team at Finch Farm.
As our Women’s Academy Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist you will use your previous experience in sports physical therapy you will provide physical therapy services within the Academy and assist in the organisation and implementation of the medical facilities for all Academy and on occasion first team players.
You will provide high-quality Sports Therapy services to the Under 21’s, focusing on delivery of treatment and all stages of the rehabilitation pathway, assisting with the coordination of the medical services on match days, organising and implementing screening programmes, prehab and rehab strategies where required.
Other key responsibilities as part of this role include;
Carrying our assessments on patients as a autonomous practitioner, using your clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of evidence based practice
Providing advice and information to Academy students’ parents/carers to ensure a consistent approach to care
Advocate and act in accordance With the Rules of Professional Conduct and Standards of practice set by the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC)
Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up-to-date documentation, using a Performance Management Application in line with legal departmental requirements
Who we are looking for: Our ideal candidate will have a BSc Physiotherapy or BSc in Sports Therapy, a MCSP, MSST or HCPC and is able to evidence a wide range of educational experience of physical therapy approaches to clinical management.
You will have or be working toward your Intermediate or Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football qualification.
This position is on a Fixed Term Contract up to June 2025, based at Finch Farm, working 24 hours per week.
