Full-time: £30,000 per annum
Based: Playford Road Training Ground
Ipswich Town Football Club Academy are seeking an individual who has worked in a professional Club at youth level and has a good working knowledge of EPPP and Youth Rule requirements, for the role of Academy Secretary. This role is key in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Academy department in line with the EFL, FA Rules, Youth Development Rules and the Academy Performance Plan.
This role manages and overseas the administrative and executive functions of the Academy Management team (AMT), assists the Academy Manager on senior Academy administration and is responsible for communicating all PL, EFL and FA rules to the AMT
Working closely with the Club Secretary for all requirements on TMS and International clearance, this role undertakes all Academy secretarial duties for ITFC. This includes Player registrations; maintaining the player and staff database; coordinating department on rules; inducting new Academy staff and overseeing all administration for the recruitment department.
Skills and Requirements:

Previous similar experience working in a professional Club at youth level and a good awareness of EPPP is essential, as is the ability of working within a budget. With strong organisational skills the successful candidate will be an excellent presenter and have a consummate eye for detail.
Additionally, they should have proven experience of a fast-paced environment and the ability to communicate effectively at the highest levels.
The Club:
Following the acquisition of Ipswich Town in April 2021, there has been major investment throughout the Club under the new Management Team. The Club is at the start of an exciting journey to return Ipswich Town to its former glories, this role is a key appointment.
The Academy has a vital role to play in the mission and vision of the Club. It is expected that the Academy will aid the increase in number of home-grown players who appear in the First Team on a regular and sustainable basis.
