ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are a football club with a desire to be the best and are always looking for talented people to join our Everton Family.

Everton is a workplace people crave to join, where extraordinary talented people belong, thrive and deliver the remarkable.

Academy Scout (Professional) - North West
Who are we: Everton Football Club is one of world sport's most respected and revered names - a by-word for innovation and professionalism during the course of a glittering history that spans three centuries.

One of the 12 founder members of the Football League, Everton has played more games in English football's top flight than any other club.

While rightly proud of our rich past, and Goodison Park, our home of more than 130 years, we are now setting our sights on an exciting future at a state-of-the-art new stadium currently being constructed on the banks of the iconic River Mersey.

In doing so, we remain committed to developing and supporting teams across our men’s, women’s and Academy set-ups that inspire and compete at the highest level of the game.

Our values underpin how we behave, how we represent our club in our city and across the world of football, and how we look after one another and our community. They provide a framework for how we work and engage with partners, suppliers and, most importantly, our fans.

About the opportunity: For decades, our Club has been one of the most respected and renowned in football. Its vision to develop young players who are technically and tactically capable of playing for Everton’s Men’s First Team, or having a career in the professional game, remains as focused as ever.

We are now looking for ambitious and motivated professional Academy Recruitment Scouts to cover the Northwest of England region and help us in identifying and recruiting the best players, in line with our Academy Recruitment Philosophy and Strategy.

Other key responsibilities as part of this role include:

Attending fixtures as and when required (sometimes at short notice)

Identifying and recommending players of interest for the Everton Academy

Providing full scouting reports using the relevant systems specified by the Club

Liaising with Regional Managers to submit reports to the Club’s Academy Professional Recruitment Manager within specified timeframes

Notifying the relevant Regional Manager of any player(s) you consider worthy of further assessment

Making good contacts and forming relationships with clubs in your region

Who we are looking for: Essentially, we are looking for someone who has an excellent track record in a similar role, with a Level 2 Talent ID qualification, as well as an understanding of scouting protocols and best practice.

You must have the ability to create full scouting reports using system specified by the Club.

If you feel you have the expertise we are looking for and would thrive off becoming an integral part of our casual workforce across our Academy, then we would love to hear from you!

The successful candidate will be contracted to 8 hours per week and will be covering the Northwest of England.

The closing date of this advert is Friday 18th July 2024.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive a substation amount of applications.
