Stoke City Football Club is looking for an Academy Safeguarding Administrator to provide effective and comprehensive Safeguarding support and administration across the football club, Academy and to support the Safeguarding Department’s recruitment objectives and values at both the bet365 Stadium and our training ground facility at Clayton Wood in Trent Vale.
The Academy Safeguarding Administrator will have responsibility for the administration of recruitment including the DBS process and employment history reference checking. The position will include maintaining comprehensive Excel records and will be expected to contribute to the Safer Recruitment of the extensive workforce and volunteers.  You will assist the Head of Safeguarding and Women & Girls Performance Director in a preventative strategy to safeguarding which will include arranging training programmes, preparation of training materials, carrying out audits, as well as responding to safeguarding concerns when they arise.
Key Skills, Experience and Attributes

Experience in Safeguarding.
Knowledge of safeguarding recruitment processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, trustworthy and courteous under pressure.
Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to make sound safeguarding judgments whilst understanding the needs of children and adults at risk.
Ability to analyse data and information.
Ability to work under own initiative to achieve objectives but also support departmental goals as a team member.
Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality.
Personal integrity and commitment to the wellbeing of all children and adults at risk associated with the Club.

The position is offered on a part time permanent basis typically working 4 days out of 7.  All relevant training will be provided.
