Viking Football is looking for a head coach for Rygerlag G12 in the Viking academy. The position is a 100% position. THE ACADEMY

For Viking Football, the way to the top of Norwegian football is through the development of regional talent. The academy therefore plays a decisive role in the development of the Viking of the future.

In our 5-star academy , you will take part in a football-professionally strong, development-oriented, energetic and inclusive environment. Viking Football has high ambitions and has chosen a strategic path that involves putting the development of local players first. In the coming period, it is a clear goal to further strengthen our work in the academy, so that even more players from the Stavanger region can achieve their dreams. To support you in your development, we offer a tailored internal coach development program and also facilitate further education outside the club.

The Viking academy is primarily looking for a highly motivated and development-oriented player developer/coach who wants to work with young players. We are looking for a person who is able to combine strong relational skills with high demands and standards. You must thrive in an ambitious environment that is constantly looking to improve.

In addition, we want that:

You are a clear carrier of culture who will lead according to our values ​​and standards
You are skilled at team management
You have a good work structure, are courageous and take action where necessary
Dialogue and collaboration come naturally to you and you are confident in both internal and external communication.
You have training as a coach: UEFA B license and/or bachelor's degree/master's degree in sports with specialization in football, possibly other relevant education.
You are passionate about talent development and are professionally curious.


Main responsibility for planning and carrying out training and matches for Rygerlag G.12. Including preparation of annual plans, period plans and session plans.
Main responsibility for preparing development goals for individual players and following them up.
Main responsibility for analysis work towards the team and individual players using the club's preferred analysis tool.
Use of process tools related to planning and follow-up of teams and individual players.
Participate in internal coaching meetings
Participate in the Viking academy's football schools.
Act as a trainer supervisor in the trainer lift.

Work in the afternoon/evening/weekend must be taken into account.
