Job Description The role of physical trainer is fundamental to the long-term vision of FK Bodø / Glimt to develop the best young players from Northern Norway. Physical Trainer is responsible for the implementation and implementation of the academy’s physical training methodology with G6-19 players, one will work closely with the physical and medical team. Responsibilities: The physical trainer will be responsible for following up on the physical development of the entire Glimt Academy (G13-G19). This also includes work towards the club’s G6-12 Academy. The physical trainer will also have a responsibility to contribute to player development outside the club, in collaboration with other clubs in Bodø and in the region. The primary role will focus on planning and measuring training intensity / load with the G13-15 Trainer and G16-19 Trainer, along with the delivery of physical coaching sessions in both phases. This will include involvement in session design, and a coaching qualification / experience is therefore required. The coach for the physical performance will also have input from a match day with the teams playing in the 3rd division together with the national series (G18, 16 and 14). The physical trainer will also work with the club’s medical team to coordinate the delivery of the injury prevention program to the teams at Glimt Academy. When required, the physical trainer collaborates with the A-team on training programs for individual players.  Necessary competence and qualifications: It is important that the applicant has a master’s degree in the field of sports science, and it is desirable that the applicant has a UEFA B license. Relevant experience in a development environment will also be required, as well as any other certificates of competence that will be relevant for applying for this position. The applicant must be self-driven, confident in working as part of a team, and have strong communication skills. We encourage women to apply. The salary will be 450,000 kroner-500,000 NOK, depending on experience and qualifications. Application deadline 18 May 2022. We are looking for coaches whose current situation allows them to start working by 1 July 2022. You must be an EU citizen to be eligible for this position. Required competence and qualifications: Essential Requirements: • MSc in Sport Science (or MSc Strength and conditioning), but as a minimum BSc in the same subjects. • UEFA-B license • Extensive experience in working with young footballers • Strength and conditioning qualification and experience Key tasks and responsibilities: Provide high level of interpretation of GPS data, recommendation and feedback to coaches and medical department. Use training data to try to offer daily advice to the coaching team to ensure the physical development requirements are optimised through the football session design. Plan and coach physical interventions that include a speed, agility or plyometric element in line with the coaching theme of the day in both a team and individual setting. Assist with delivery of individual and group strength and conditioning programmes, including both indoor and pitch-based strategies. Responsible for the academy physical S&C sessions in line with the Sports Science syllabus Lead age-appropriate strength & power gym-based sessions in line with syllabus Monitoring and report growth & maturation data Collecting and report performance testing data Provide physical feedback in player performance review- Engage in CPD activities
