FC Tucson was founded in 2010 by a local group of dedicated Tucsonans who wanted to elevate the sport and bring professional soccer to Southern Arizona. Since that time, FC Tucson has been responsible for helping to put Tucson on the national stage by hosting the annual preseason training events as well as developing players who have gone on to become MLS and US Men’s National Team members. FC Tucson and the Club intends to enter the new decade with a commitment to showcasing top talent and bringing the community together in a whole new fashion. Position Overview:
The Academy Operations Coordinator will work closely and daily with the Director of Soccer Operations and FC Tucson Technical Staff to assist with, manage and execute all aspects of Academy Team Administration and Team Operations. Aspects include but are not limited to player registrations, player services, budgeting, travel planning and logistics, training, game and club event scheduling and oversight, Academy Home Game curation and USL Academy League administration & communications. The Academy Operations Coordinator will also be responsible for generally supporting the administration and operations of the FC Tucson USL & Women’s Teams and will have a direct role in the planning and operations of any annual large-scale events such as the MLS Preseason and USL Preseason Events.

As Academy Operations Coordinator, your primary duties shall be as follows:
Assist the Director of Soccer Operations with management of the Academy Team budget.
Oversee routine Academy Team Field & Locker Room set-ups (practices, games, and events).
Execute operations and production of all Academy Home Games as instructed.
Execute all planning and logistics for all Academy Away trips as instructed.
Execute all Academy Team Player Registrations and maintain the Academy Airtable database.
Oversee management, inventory, and accounting for all Academy team gear and equipment usage.
Oversee the field schedules for Academy training and games.
Efficiently control progression of Academy Team training.
Assist in re-stocking and maintaining the condition of the Academy Team and FC Tucson Technical Staff locker rooms.
Assist the Team Operations Staff with player airport transfers, meal procurement and player apartment needs when requested.
Assist in the planning and operational execution of large-scale Club Events.
Assist in management of the FC Tucson USL and Women’s Team general operations.
Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required. Will be required to travel with the Academy Team. May be required to travel with the USL or Women’s team.
Lead by example in always maintaining professional and courteous behavior.
Complete other tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:
4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
Maintain clear and distinct understanding of USL Source Documents including but not limited to the USL League One Operations Manuals, internal travel & inventory documents, etc.
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
Process oriented, organized, and strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Programs.
Must have strong initiative and work ethic and be able to function without supervision.
Must be able to take directions, execute actions and work quickly and optimally under pressure.
Must be able to travel and adhere to team travel schedules.
Must be able to work evenings, holidays and weekends as required.

Compensation & Benefits:
$14.00 per hour in accordance with a standard 40-hour work week over the course of your Employment Term. You may work more or less than 40 standard hours in any one week.
As a seasonal and non-exempt employee, you will be considered a W-2 employee and applicable state and federal taxes will be deducted from your paycheck.
Paychecks will be distributed on the 5th and 20th day of each month in accordance with the FC Tucson’s payroll schedule.
You will be compensated for any overtime hours worked. Overtime hours are defined as any hours over forty (40) worked in one (1) week. Your hourly overtime wage will be $21.00 an hour.

FC Tucson will be closed for a minimum of seven (7) days from the end of the season to the end of the calendar year as determined by management. These days are paid and are not included as part of the self-regulated time off policy requirements.
Occasional remote work arrangements allow employees to work at home or some other off-site location for all or some of their regularly scheduled work hours.
