Role description

Millwall Football Club’s Academy is looking to recruit a new Head of Coaching to deliver the Academy coaching programme for the club’s Under 9s-Under 23s.

The successful candidate will form part of the Academy Management Team and report directly to the Academy Director, while being responsible of the running and implementation of the Academy's coaching and CPD programme.

We are looking for an individual who has relevant experience of the role and working with players in an Academy environment. The successful candidate must be driven at developing relationships while managing/mentoring the full-time coaches and will be expected to work across all departments, driving the coaching curriculum and games programme across the phases. The role will involve flexible working hours in conjunction with the Academy's training and games programme.

There will be administrative tasks involved within the role, implementing departmental meetings, overseeing player reviews and coaching curriculums, to ensure we meet the desired criteria of the EPPP. Good knowledge and experience of the PMA system is essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to help drive the coaching department within the Academy, as well as developing as a coach in an elite environment, while working with the players and help continue laying down the foundations for the next generation of Millwall FC’s players and coaches.

Essential and Desirable Requirements:

• UEFA A Licence (E)

• EHOC Candidate (D)

• UEFA Pro Licence (D)

• FA Advanced Youth Award (E)

• Up to date DBS, EFAIF and Safeguarding Children certificate (E)

• Clean Driving Licence (E)

• Member of the FA Licenced Coaches Club (D)
