Role Description / Summary:

This is a full-time on-site role for an Academy Football Coach located in Khobar \ Saudi Arabia.

As a coach of Captain Academy, you work for all the activities of Captain Academy. As a coach, you represent Captain Academy and are involved in the implementation of football sessions, football camps, traveling overseas and outside locations. You will work together with a group of motivated and experienced coaches and you will thus have the opportunity to develop as a coach among professionals.


Conducting research and analyzing previous games to develop game plans, tactics, techniques, formations, and strategies.
Organizing and scheduling tryouts and shortlisting potential players.
Determining individual player abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, and factoring these into the gameplay and strategy sessions.
Organize preseason and regular season training.
Ensuring the football field is available for practice sessions and that players show up on time.
Establishing rules and regulations and ensuring players are familiar with them.
Organizing team building sessions and activities off the field.
Fostering good sportsmanship in all team players, resolving disputes, and addressing bad behavior in a timely manner.
Identifying exceptional players who might be scouted for scholarships and to play in professional leagues.
Ensuring all sports equipment is available and in working order.
Encouraging players to engage in other recreational sports and to live a healthy life with a balanced diet.
Helping to create a supportive, professional team environment in which all players are able to reach their potential.
Prepare and lead all team training sessions.
Use session planning tools and video platforms to ensure that all relevant player data is recorded.
Deliver Individual Development Plans (IDP) and training for Formation Phase Teams.
Oversee all player evaluations and player/parent meetings.
Assist and support coaches in the general control, management, and conduct of Academy players, ensuring adherence to the Academy Code of Conduct.
Assist with other age groups with training and game day when needed.
Collaborate with Academy Director and Technical Staff on player and roster movement from Formation Phase to Professional Phase.
Assists in the scouting and evaluation of potential players for the team.
Collaborative management style – an advocate of team concepts.
Positive influencer, comfortable with leading dynamic change.
Seek to improve and maintain high standards in everything we do on the field and in the dressing room.
Attend Club functions and meetings as needed.
Organize friendly preseason games and as needed.
Report any concerns to the Technical Director related to (players, parents, staff members)
Know how to deal with the questions that contemporary young people and their educators pose to trainers.
Work in a challenging sports environment.
Keep up to date with the latest trends, techniques and news in football training and incorporate them into training programs.
Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for players of all levels.
To demonstrate experience in working with and without translators in delivery of sessions.
To adapt in different coaching environments when delivering.
Confirms attendance from every training session and matches.
Attend meetings with the technical director and staff to keep up to date on player progression.
Foster a positive and supportive team environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship and personal growth.
To understand player pathways and the development process of players.
Be responsible for the discipline of players and coaches. We expect a good schedule and have a dress code.
Ensure that all players receive regular and honest feedback on their development throughout season, while managing levels of expectations.
Ensuring effective interaction and keeping good relationships with players and team members.
Assists in planning and executing tournaments, leagues, and camps.
Implement the Academy methodology, effective practice, and game plans through the Academy Curriculum, style of play, and periodization.

Strong understanding of player development principles and age-appropriate coaching methodologies.
The Candidate must possess: Excellent communication, reliable and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with players, parents, and fellow staff members.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability, resilience, and creativity.
Commitment to upholding the values and ethos, promoting inclusivity, diversity, and excellence in all aspects of the academy program.
Oversee all aspects of the Academy age group.
Manage off-season player development programs for the team.
Excellent presentation skills.
To have experience working with players from varying backgrounds and cultures.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Previous experience as a football player.
International experience is preferred.
Open to learn and grow.
Open-minded, balanced, mature, and stable emotional.

Hold the minimum UEFA B \ AFC B License.
A bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related field is preferred.
Hold an up-to-date Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications.
Nutrition certificates (Preferred).
Physical Preparator certificates (Preferred).
Video Analysis certificates (Preferred).
Clear Police Check & Background Check.
