ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Role


We are looking for an Academy Football Analyst to provide insightful performance analysis across our Academy, within the professional development phase.

In this vital role, you will play a key part in delivering our football analysis provision across our Academy and you'll make sure we hold ourselves to the highest standards at all times; ensuring that all processes and workflows are carried out in the most efficient way, whilst still delivering optimal standards of quality.

Your day-to-day
Provide insightful football analysis support - you will be empowered to support in the preparation of all pre-match opposition analysis content as well as for post-match and individual analysis
Evolve and champion matchday analysis - you'll play a vital role in our drive for a more thorough and extensive process for live capture and analysis on matchdays, with the ultimate goal of providing valuable feedback in real-time
Support analysis of training sessions - you will be actively involved in the capturing of training footage and data, providing feedback and coaching material for players and coaches and facilitating performance improvement
Feed into academy coach development - you'll aid in the preparation and delivery of academy coaching CPD programme and you will carry out research and development centred on football technology and modern methods of coaching/performance analysis
Oversee individual development programmes - you will deliver detailed, regular individual player reviews, including both the preparation of material (video & data), as well as the delivering of such work to both coaches and players
What we are looking for
Proven background in football analysis - you come with a credible background of providing football analysis at an elite level and you possess an excellent tactical understanding of football
Excellent knowledge of the wider football landscape - you have an in-depth understanding of how football analysis supports our wider club and you have a solid grounding and rounded view of varying working methodologies
Track record of working at Academy level - you possess demonstrable experience of working with young players and you're well versed in best practice within football analysis at this level
Growth mindset - you're equipped with an ability to adapt to emerging technologies and their application in automating working processes and you've got a desire to continuously challenge, learn and move forward
Best-in-class communication skills - you're confident in your ability to deliver and communicate performance insights to key colleagues across our club
Flexible, adaptable and accurate approach - you are proud of your resilience and your ability to retain a high standard of output in a ever changing fast paced environment
