Role Summary:

To tutor and assess the BTEC Level 3 Sport programme to all apprentices as per the League Football Education (LFE) contract. This is a part time role for a total of 288 hours per year, 9.00am to 5.00pm every Wednesday over 36 weeks from July to May.

Key Responsibilities:

· Tutor and assess on the BTEC qualification in accordance with League Football Education (LFE) contract.

· Update and maintain all aspects of the Education Maintenance System (EMS).

· Assist in conducting and arranging regular 12 weekly League Football Education (LFE) apprentice reviews.

· Assist Head of Academy Education in any matter relating to the BTEC programme with the League Football Education (LFE).

· Attend any relevant League Football Education meetings, workshops, conferences and training events.

· Ensure own personal CPD is kept updated in accordance with role.

· Promote safeguarding within the organisation and create a safe and inclusive environment for all, reporting any safeguarding concerns as and when required.

Essential / Desired Requirements:

Essential Requirements:


· Must hold a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification as a minimum.

· Must have extensive experience of teaching and assessing BTEC Sport courses.

· Must have evidence of consistent and outstanding teaching grades through formal observations.

Desirable Requirements:

· Hold QTS or QTLS

· Hold an enhanced CRB / DBS certificate.

· Hold a relevant Safeguarding Children certificate.

Personal Skills:

· A flexible and adaptable approach.

· A knowledge and understanding of working with young athletes.

· Effectively and efficiently communicate at all levels.

· Willing to take responsibility and follow tasks to a successful completion.

· Problem solver.

· Team player.
