Role Summary:

To provide elite level soft tissue therapy to the Millwall FC first team squad.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Millwall FC to join an established and experienced medical and performance department as 1st team soft tissue therapist.

The role will look to deliver exceptional soft tissue therapy for first team players, working closely with the head of soft tissue therapy and the rest of the medical and performance team to provide targeted and effective treatment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a sports environment and have a wide skill set including the use of sports massage, IASTM, and cupping.


Key Responsibilities:

· To provide elite soft tissue therapy to the Millwall FC 1st team squad

· Independently deliver a wide range of therapeutic techniques to assist in the prevention and rehabilitation of 1st team injuries

· Provide pre and post training soft tissue therapy

· Maintain up to date medical records

· Maintain and develop communication between all staff and departments at MFC

· Attend and contribute to MFC staff meetings as required

· To maintain and contribute to CPD

· To maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times

· To assist with prehab, pre-activation and recovery strategies

· Assist the head of soft tissue therapy with any additional tasks to aid the smooth running of the department

· To assist in other departmental duties as required.


Essential Requirements:

· Minimum 1 years in team sport environment

· Level 3 sports massage or sports therapists/rehabilitators

· Work flexibly and be open to travel extensively in the UK and in Europe


Desired Requirements:

· Hold a full clean Driving Licence

· ATTMIF / ITMIFF qualification

· Experience of using MS Office products

Salary: Competitive

Hours of work: 18 hours per week (some flexibility required depending on training schedule). This can include evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
