Sheffield United Football Club are seeking an Operations Lead to join our Women's 1st Team who is a strong team player with excellent organisational and communication skills. In a varied role, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive, confidential, high quality and efficient operational support to the 1st Team and Head of Women's Football.
Role Responsibilities:
Club Operations
Working with the Head of Women's Football, oversee and coordinate all non-football aspects of the Club, with a particular focus on first team logistics, matchday operations and club compliance.
Lead on the planning and delivery of First Team fixtures, including but not limited to, ticketing, hospitality and operations at home fixtures, as well as travel logistics and accommodation for away fixtures.
Develop and implement a Club operational plan, in line with the strategy and vision, ensuring operations across the Club and best in class.
Implement, and lead on a weekly operation meeting, ensuring all departments are aligned and planning appropriately.
To be the League, and opposition's primary contact relating to all day-to-day enquires, and operational needs.
Support Head of Women's Football with budget management, working closely with other staff to ensure the purchase order system is utilised correctly.
Team Operations
Deliver administration relating to Player signings, transfers and Player contracts.
Lead on player operations, ensuring all administrative and operational tasks are carried out effectively for 1st team players.
Create and maintain/update a database for storing personal information for the 1st team players: management of Teamwork's application including ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly schedules for the 1st team is up to date
Liaise with the Clubs travel partner to book all aspects of team travel, coaches and hotels when appropriate.
Keep a comprehensive record of all travel and associated costs for all 1st team away games.
Liaise with the League, and The FA on rules and regulations.
Liaise with Match Officials on the confirmation of appointment.
Club Compliance/Governance
Working with the Head of Women's Football and Academy Manager, provide support in ensuring the Club is compliant in all audits, as well as providing support to the Head of Women's Football in relation to Club governance and meetings.
Attend Women's Football management meetings, supporting with agendas and minute taking.
Work with the Head of Women's Football in relation to Club audits, providing support to departments when needed, taking a strategic approach to compliance.
Club Wide Responsibilities:
Ensure completion of any mandatory training required for the role, including internal club training around Safeguarding and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.
Report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club's Safeguarding agenda.
Report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.
Adhere to the Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.
Any other reasonable requests as directed by management.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
Operational management experience, within elite sport
Experience of working in football, ideally Women's football
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build meaningful relationships
An interest and enthusiasm in developing Women's football
Desirable Criteria:
Undergraduate Degree, ideally in a Business Management related field
