Forming part of the first team staff, the goalkeeper coach will play a key role in the on pitch operation at both The Broadfield Stadium and club training ground. The ideal candidate will be entrusted to manage a professional goalkeeper coaching programme and oversee the development of all individual goalkeepers within the first team squad. The candidate will also assist with opposition goalkeeping analysis and positional recruitment strategy.
Responsible for creation and delivery of the club goalkeeper coaching programme and for the positive progression of individual goalkeepers within the Crawley Town team.
Assess the performance of goalkeepers, applying relevant KPI's and creating specific individual development plans.
Assist in the decision making surrounding retainment and recruitment of first team squad players with a specific focus on goalkeepers.
Offer footballing support to all members of the first team coaching staff, in particular the first team manager.
Be proactive and willing to go above and beyond the benefit of the team and club
Offer time and support to external club partnerships including occasional coaching sessions with the community
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION/QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
Coaching and/or Management of Players and Staff within professional 1st team football.
Professional qualification at UEFA B-Licence outfield level and UEFA A Goalkeeping.
Strong knowledge of football at relevant levels in terms of tactics, fitness and player development.
Proven record of developing goalkeepers within elite football
A willingness to get involved in various aspects of the club, when necessary
